Appointment Policy

To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.

For your convenience, "drop-off" appointments are available. A "drop off' means you could bring your pet in the morning and leave him/her with us for a few hours. Usually we will ask you to "drop off' between 9-10 am so Dr Upholt can examine the patient before normal appointments or at the time purposely reserved for admitted patients. Once the doctor is done, we will give you a call to go over the diagnosis and to give you discharge instructions.  These "drop off" appointments must be scheduled in advance so that we can accommodate them around our surgery schedule.  Please call first in emergency cases.

For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we require that cats be placed  in pet carriers before entering the waiting room and ask that they remain there until their exam.  During the exam our trained staff will restrain your cat for your (and our staff's) safety.  

Payment Policy

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Care Credit, cash and personal checks.

Missed/ No Show Appointments  Please be advised that will be a $75.00 cancellation/no show fee imposed on all cancellations made less than 24 hrs of a scheduled appointment/ $150 fee for surgeries (depending on circumstances). We know that this may seem like a very expensive penalty; however, please understand that-by not showing up and leaving an empty spot on the schedule- you are taking up an appointment time that another patient could have benefitted from. Patient Arrival Policy

All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.
